Wes Huck

M. Pod. M. (UWA)  B. Sc. (Podiatry)  Post Grad Diploma Health Sc  MAPA

Wes has been a podiatrist for over thirty years. Since graduating from W.A.I.T. ( now Curtin University) in 1982, Wes has worked in a wide variety of professional settings including large public teaching hospitals, community health, remote rural and regional centres, the state child development centre and for the last twenty years, Feet First Podiatry.

Wes is a gentle person at heart with a gentle touch to match. Treating feet over thirty years, Wes has seen just about everything and is a resource power house in the practice. ”It’s really satisfying when we help a patient resolve a difficult, painful problem.” Wes has several post graduate qualifications including a Masters degree in Podiatric Medicine from UWA. He has a special interest in paediatric foot health as well as sports and bio-mechanical disorders.

Born and raised in East Fremantle, Wes shares his love of the Swan river and local beaches with his wife Fern, their two children, now grown, and their family dogs.

Mitch Bath

B. Pod.

Mitch spent his formative years on the northern New South Wales coast. He’s  travelled across the Nullarbor to join his partner who’s studying at UWA. Mitch has terrific  skills to help  your painful feet and he delivers gentle and genuine care.

Mitch is an avid runner and hiker and has plenty of first hand knowledge which helps him give excellent podiatric advice. He has completed the Oxfam 100km charity walk through the Sydney bush and has also conquered Everest Base Camp. He is an enthusiastic follower of most sports and has recently pledged his allegiance to the Dockers in the West. His other secret passion is cooking!

Mitch has played soccer his whole life and this was where his initial passion for podiatry was born. Mitch had some issues as a young player with severe heel pain, a common problem in growing kids. A podiatrist at the time was able to sort Mitch out quick smart with some custom orthotics and he was back on the field in no time and has been forever grateful. “I really get a kick out of helping young kids get back on the sporting field, It’s just awesome seeing how happy they are when they are pain free !

Podiatry Assistants (aka ‘Arch Angels’)

Emma

Emma grew up in Darwin, so she is full of top end stories and tourist tips. Emma moved to Perth to complete her Diploma of Remedial Massage and enjoyed that so much, now she’s launched into Health Science as well! Emma loves all the opportunities Perth offers, including dance and art classes, but she still misses a special Darwin curry she hasn’t been able to find in Perth.

Chelsie

Chelsie is one of our Perth locals, who grew up beachside. She has almost completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology at Curtin University, with plans to continue her study and pursue a Masters of Human Rights.  Chelsie has a vibrate social life, and loves spending time with her friends playing Pokemon Go, going to concerts or horror movie marathons.  Ironically, Chelsie has an intense love of cake, however unfortunately she is allergic to diary #Jimunji #Fridge

Hannah

Hannah grew up in a small town two and a half hours east of Perth. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Science at Curtin University majoring in Nutrition so she’s keeping us all at our healthy eating best. In her downtime from work and study, Hannah loves to sew and makes a lot of her own clothes, the more colour the better!

Fern

Since co-founding Feet First with Wes in 1998, Fern has worked steadily to improve patient experience and care. Behind the scenes, Fern keeps the practice clockwork whirring. As practice manager there’s a new puzzle for her to solve every single day! Fern says, “It’s a real pleasure to be part of the solution helping people with sensitive feet so they can get back to doing the things they love.”

Fern loves walking along the river or at the beach with one eyed Miles, the gypsy-pirate rescue dog.
