Wes Huck
M. Pod. M. (UWA) B. Sc. (Podiatry) Post Grad Diploma Health Sc MAPA
Wes has been a podiatrist for over thirty years. Since graduating from W.A.I.T. ( now Curtin University) in 1982, Wes has worked in a wide variety of professional settings including large public teaching hospitals, community health, remote rural and regional centres, the state child development centre and for the last twenty one years, Feet First Podiatry.
Wes is a gentle person at heart with a gentle touch to match. Wes’s gentle touch and unhurried, quiet manner is especially helpful for patients who have had a previous painful experience or adverse outcome, who may be anxious about treatments or needle shy.
Treating feet for over thirty years, Wes has seen just about everything and is a resource power house in the practice. ”It’s really satisfying when we help a patient resolve a difficult, painful problem.” Wes has several post graduate qualifications including a Masters degree in Podiatric Medicine from UWA. He has a special interest in paediatric foot health as well as sports and bio-mechanical disorders.
Born and raised in East Fremantle, Wes shares his love of the Swan River and local beaches with his wife Fern, two children (now grown), and the family dog.

Sue
Sue grew up in South Australia and moved to WA many years ago. Sue worked as a nurse and midwife while raising 4 children. Now her family have all grown and flown, Sue spreads her spare time looking after new grandies and out on Cockburn sound fishing with her husband Rob. Rob reckons Sue’s the best deck hand around and together they love camping and enjoying the great outdoors. Sue is also crafty and a wonderful cook!
Fern
BSc Hons (Biology) Dip Prac Management
Since co-founding Feet First with Wes in 1998, Fern has worked steadily to improve patient experience and care. Behind the scenes, Fern keeps the practice clockwork whirring. As practice manager there’s a new puzzle for her to solve every single day! Fern says, “It’s a real pleasure to be part of the solution helping people with sensitive feet so they can get back to doing the things they love.”
Fern loves walking along the river or at the beach with one eyed Miles, the gypsy-pirate rescue dog.
How Would You Like to Join Our Team?
We’re all about improving lives through better foot health.
We’re growing steadily and our sparkling new practice has plenty of space for our growing team.
Our practitioners are high calibre, experienced and gentle folk who are supported in all their clinical endeavours by a skilled and energetic support team. Our podiatrists and support team work closely together so when we invite someone new to join our team we prefer folk who are looking for a secure, long-term commitment whose skills will grow and develop with the practice.
